2026 Annual Meeting Call for Abstracts
Each year this gathering brings clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, and community leaders together to share ideas that advance health equity for Cabo Verdean communities in the United States and around the world.
Who we are looking for
CVAMS invites researchers, clinicians, scholars, and practitioners to submit abstracts for presentation at the 2026 Annual Meeting.
We welcome work in any area of medicine, healthcare, or community health. Attendees will explore clinical innovations, public health initiatives, and community-based approaches to better health outcomes.
Submissions from individuals of Cabo Verdean descent, and from those working with Cabo Verdean populations, are especially encouraged.

Submission guidelines
Word limit
Abstracts must not exceed 300 words.
File format
Submit as a Word document or PDF.
Authors
Include full names and institutional affiliations for every author.
Structure
Include a title and a summary covering background, methods, results, and conclusions.
Visuals
You may include up to one figure or table.
Key dates
By 11:59 PM EST. Email your abstract to Khuaten.
All applicants will hear back by Friday, 31 July.
